What is the address where I can pick up the rented item?
You will receive an email after reservation with all the necessary information, including the address where the rented object can be picked up.
Are these all the costs, or are there additional costs?
The price you pay us is the total price; no additional costs will be charged. If you pay with a credit card, PayPal, EPS, or Giropay, a small percentage may be charged for extra bank fees.
What are the terms and conditions?
During the reservation process (step 2), the terms and conditions and cancellation policy applicable to the selected products will be displayed.
Can I cancel my reservation?
The great thing about a reservation is that you have guaranteed availability for what you want at the desired time, and the rental provider has guaranteed the availability for that day. However, there are certain conditions for canceling, which are outlined in our terms and conditions, including the cancellation policy. During the reservation process (step 2), the applicable terms and cancellation policy for the selected products will be shown.
Can I bring my dog on the boat?
Yes, you can bring your dog as long as you ensure that the boat is returned clean and free of dog hair.
I still haven't received a confirmation email, what should I do?
The system automatically generates emails for your reservation. It is possible that these emails end up in your spam folder, so please check there first. Very rarely, the email may not be received due to factors such as an incorrectly entered email address. Occasionally, our emails are rejected by the renter's server (caused by Caiway servers). If you haven't received the email, please send us an email with your name, email address, and if possible, payment details, and we will manually resend the email to you.
I have rented a boat but want to make changes to my reservation. What should I do?
Once you have completed a reservation, you will receive an email indicating where the reservation has been placed in Giethoorn. If you want to make changes to your reservation, you can coordinate directly with the boat rental provider. Their contact information is provided in the confirmation email you received.
How much time do I need to explore Giethoorn by boat?
There are various routes in Giethoorn that you can take. The rental provider will provide you with a suggested route based on the amount of time you want to spend on the water. You can make stops at different locations during your trip and have a picnic on the island in the lake. To get a small impression of Giethoorn, you should plan for a minimum of 2 hours of boating, so with a stop along the way, you'll be away for about 3 hours. If you want to explore the entire Giethoorn area, there is a route that takes 4 to 5 hours to complete.
Do I need a boating license to operate a boat?
No boating license is required for any of the boats rented through our website. The rental provider will provide you with a detailed explanation. Boating is very easy, and anyone can handle a boat.
